On Wednesday, 9th October, in the\u00a0Media Center<\/a>, as part of the Children\u2019s Week,\u00a0the Friends of Children of Serbia<\/a>\u00a0organised the panel discussion \u201cChild Rights in Serbia 30 Years After Adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The speakers were Dragan Vulevi\u0107<\/strong>, Special Advisor to the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs; Nata\u0161a Jovi\u0107<\/strong>, Assistant Secretary-General for Child\u2019s Rights, Gender Equality and Rights of Persons with Disability in the Ombudsman\u2019s Office; Vesna Dejanovi\u0107<\/strong>, UNICEF Children Protection Programme Manager; Jasmina Mikovi\u0107<\/strong>, Praxis Deputy Executive Director and member of the Council for the Rights of the Child; Sa\u0161a Stefanovi\u0107<\/strong>, MODS Director; and Dunja Jold\u017ei\u0107<\/strong>, member of the participatory Group of 10 Friends of Children of Serbia.\u00a0 The panel discussion was moderated by journalist Marija \u0160ehi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The speakers presented the main trends and challenges in the field of children’s rights in Serbia, after which they had the opportunity to discuss and exchange opinions on current challenges with children and other participants.<\/p>\n
