The conference was organized by the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia \u2013 MODS in cooperation with the<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zavodsz.gov.rs\/\">Republic Institute for Social Protection<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">with the support of<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/serbia\/\">UNICEF<\/a> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">and under the auspices of the<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minrzs.gov.rs\/\">Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans&#8217; and Social Affairs.<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The conference was devoted to issues of <strong>development of services and programs that will enable permanent, timely and adequate support to the family with children, in order to prevent the separation of children from families, that is, enable the return of children to their primary families, if the separation has occurred.<\/strong> A number of possibilities and resources have been considered, which already exist both in public and in the civil sector, and they need to be put into the function of strengthening the family and supporting the stay of children in their families.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the beginning, the meeting was addressed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans&#8217; and Social Affairs, Nenad Neri\u0107, Deputy Director of UNICEF in Serbia, Severin Leonardi, the professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Nevenka \u017degarac and MODS Director Sa\u0161a Stefanovi\u0107.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Based on conclusions of conference there were\u00a0produced\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Recommendations.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">R E C O M M E N D A T I O N S for the development and improvement of measures, services and programmes for the prevention of removal of children from families, i.e. for the return of children to their primary families if the removal has already happened<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You can find announcement<\/span> <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/zadecu.org\/en\/strengthening-families-windows-opportunity\/\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, in Belgrade, a conference titled &#8220;STRENGTHENING FAMILIES \u2013 WINDOWS OF OPPORTUNITY&#8221; was held in Belgrade.
