Stefanovi\u0107 <strong>signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the <\/strong><strong>Council for Monitoring the Implementation of the Recommendations of the United Nations Mechanism for Human Rights and the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia (MODS).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3002 size-large\" https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/index-810x536.jpg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 810px) 100vw, 810px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The director of the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia<\/strong> <strong>Sa\u0161a Stefanovi\u0107 pointed out that this Memorandum shows the Government&#8217;s commitment to meeting the recommendations of the United Nations, as well as recognising the interest in active communication with CSOs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Suzana Paunovi\u0107 underlined the importance of the cooperation that the Council has with civil society organisations, stressing that the Council has set up an example of good practice as pointed out by a large number of UN member states when presenting the report in Geneva within the third cycle of the Universal Periodic Review.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Council is based on the principle of transparency and inclusiveness, and this is confirmed by the fact that civil society organisations, international organisations and independent bodies are involved in its work, Paunovi\u0107 assessed, adding that the goal is to ensure continuity of progress in the field of human rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paunovi\u0107 stated that the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia is a civil society organisation with more than 90 members and that it is particularly important for the Council to strengthen the cooperation with this organisation in order to comprehensively monitor all UN recommendations in the field of children rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Government&#8217;s Council for Monitoring the Implementation of the UN Recommendations for Human Rights is a unique platform for dialogue between governmental and non-governmental actors when it comes to the implementation and monitoring of the implementation of international obligations in the field of human rights.<\/strong> Since 2014, when the Council was established, all six UN treaty bodies before which state reports were considered, as well as members of the UN Human Rights Council, as the most important body of the UN in the field of human rights, commended on the establishment and operation of this mechanism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of
