{"id":14165,"date":"2025-10-30T14:39:33","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T14:39:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zadecu.org\/?p=14165"},"modified":"2025-10-30T14:44:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T14:44:56","slug":"fifth-workshop-of-the-systems-innovation-lab-in-belgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zadecu.org\/en\/fifth-workshop-of-the-systems-innovation-lab-in-belgrade\/","title":{"rendered":"Fifth workshop of the Systems Innovation Lab in Belgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"332\" data-end=\"800\">The fifth workshop of the Systems Innovation Lab was held on <strong data-start=\"393\" data-end=\"412\">29 October 2025<\/strong> at the premises of the Republic Institute for Social Protection in Belgrade, organized by the <strong data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"569\">Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia (MODS)<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"629\">Republic Institute for Social Protection (RZSZ)<\/strong>, within the project <em>\u201cCaring Communities \u2013 Transnational approaches for multiple transformative changes in home care and community development in the Danube Region.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"1235\">The workshop brought together experts from the field of social protection, representatives of relevant institutions, and civil society organizations. Participants were welcomed by <strong data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"1005\">Slavica Milojevi\u0107<\/strong> from the Republic Institute for Social Protection.<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1237\" data-end=\"1259\"><strong data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1259\">Workshop\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1471\">The workshop was dedicated to exploring possibilities for establishing a sustainable model of financing social protection and long-term care services.<br data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1418\" \/>Two thematic sessions were presented to participants:<\/p>\n<h6 data-start=\"1473\" data-end=\"1522\"><strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1520\">Social Security \u2013 System and Structure<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"2090\">In the introductory presentation, <strong data-start=\"1557\" data-end=\"1576\">Sa\u0161a Stefanovi\u0107<\/strong> analyzed the concept of social security and its main pillars \u2013 compulsory social insurance (health, pension, unemployment, and long-term care insurance), family support programs, and measures aimed at reducing poverty and social exclusion.<br data-start=\"1816\" data-end=\"1819\" \/>It was highlighted that social security systems encompass both tangible components (people, resources, services) and intangible elements such as relationships, values, and perceptions, which together shape the efficiency and sustainability of the entire system.<\/p>\n<h6 data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2154\"><strong data-start=\"2097\" data-end=\"2152\">Long-term care insurance model \u2013 The German example<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2737\"><strong data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2183\">Prof. Dr Berthold Dietz<\/strong> (<em data-start=\"2185\" data-end=\"2237\">Protestant University of Applied Sciences Freiburg<\/em>) presented the German model of <strong data-start=\"2269\" data-end=\"2304\">social long-term care insurance<\/strong>, which operates within the country\u2019s social protection framework.<br data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2373\" \/>This model is based on the principles of solidarity and personal responsibility, prioritising\u00a0home care over institutional care.<br data-start=\"2524\" data-end=\"2527\" \/>Its goal is to preserve the autonomy of care recipients and alleviate the burden on families through a combination of financial benefits and care services, with contributions from all insured persons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2739\" data-end=\"2915\">Through discussion, participants developed a shared vision and an initial model that could ensure stable and continuous financing of social protection services in Serbia.<\/p>\n<h6 data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"2966\"><strong data-start=\"2921\" data-end=\"2966\">About the \u201cCaring Communities\u201d Initiative<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2968\" data-end=\"3435\">The initiative aims to improve the quality of life of people in need of long-term care and support by fostering cooperation among diverse stakeholders and building innovative and interregional structures in the field of social protection.<br data-start=\"3211\" data-end=\"3214\" \/>Special emphasis is placed on developing models for continuous financing and sustainability of services that enable people in need of care to live with a greater quality of life and remain in their family environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3437\" data-end=\"3769\"><em>The project <strong data-start=\"3449\" data-end=\"3596\">\u201c<\/strong>Caring Communities \u2013 Transnational approaches for multiple transformative changes in home care and community development in the Danube Region\u201d is supported under the Danube Region Transnational Cooperation Programme and involves 25 partners from nine countries, running from January 2024 to June 2026.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fifth workshop of the Systems Innovation Lab was held on 29 October 2025 at the premises of the Republic Institute for Social Protection in Belgrade, organized by the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia (MODS) and the Republic Institute for Social Protection (RZSZ), within the project \u201cCaring Communities \u2013 Transnational approaches for multiple [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":14155,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[219],"tags":[353,321,120],"class_list":["post-14165","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-social-protection","tag-caring-communities","tag-clanice-mods-en","tag-social-services"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
