This event was the highlight of the \u201cE-volunteering \u2013 Building an Online Volunteering Ecosystem\u201d project, bringing together policy makers, youth representatives, and experts from across Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Why we gathered:<\/strong><br \/>Digital volunteering is a practice that has become\u00a0widespread\u2014but still lacks the policies and support structures needed to thrive. This conference brought together 40+ stakeholders to close that gap and push for recognition, regulation, and resourcing of e-volunteering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we focused on:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>From Practice to Policy<\/strong>: Sessions explored the current state and future vision of e-volunteering across Europe.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Council of Europe Word Coffee<\/strong>: A multi-perspective roundtable connecting institutional frameworks with digital participation.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Hands-on Policy Labs<\/strong>: Co-creation workshops that tackled key obstacles and produced actionable recommendations for local and European authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we achieved:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0<\/strong>Presented the project\u2019s core outputs:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Volunt@@ring<\/em>\u00a0curriculum (for youth organizations)<\/li>\n<li><em>Volunt@@r<\/em>\u00a0curriculum (for e-volunteers)<\/li>\n<li>Integration of e-volunteering features into the DYOu platform<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Identified policy and legal gaps across five countries<\/p>\n<p>3. Co-developed a set of policy priorities and proposals to guide institutional reforms<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><br \/>The E-volunteering Policy Development Conference in Strasbourg marked a significant milestone in advancing structured, inclusive, and transnational digital volunteering. Through collaborative dialogue, policy analysis, and co-creation, participants worked together to identify key challenges and propose actionable policy solutions. These outcomes will directly inform the development of policy briefs and advocacy actions aimed at embedding e-volunteering into national and European frameworks.
