The Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia (MODS) was represented by Jasmina Mikovi\u0107 from Praxis, president of the MODS Management Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the General Assembly, a children\u2019s participation strategy was endorsed following the discussions facilitated by children and young people themselves. For the first time, children and young people are engaged in developing and implementing a strategy for the children\u2019s rights network which represents 165 members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1321 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33075905703_40704e812a_o2-e1493195187235.jpg\" alt=\"Eurochild, MODS; Brisel, Jasmina Mikovi\u0107\" width=\"920\" height=\"613\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33075905703_40704e812a_o2-e1493195187235.jpg 920w, https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33075905703_40704e812a_o2-e1493195187235-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 920px) 100vw, 920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eurochild.org\/fileadmin\/public\/05_Library\/Thematic_priorities\/05_Child_Participation\/Eurochild\/Eurochild_Child_Participation_Strategy.pdf\">Child Participation Strategy<\/a><\/span><\/strong> aims to engage children and young people directly to put children\u2019s rights at the heart of Europe; give them a voice and build a community of children\u2019s rights advocates. The Eurochild network has adopted this strategy, which will see the development of national and European Fora for children and young people to influence decisions that affect their lives and help organize events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1322 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33733074352_739e684ba0_o-e1493195216266.jpg\" alt=\"Eurochild, MODS; Brisel, Jasmina Mikovi\u0107\" width=\"920\" height=\"613\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33733074352_739e684ba0_o-e1493195216266.jpg 920w, https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33733074352_739e684ba0_o-e1493195216266-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 920px) 100vw, 920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The strategy goes hand in hand with a <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/eurochild.org\/fileadmin\/public\/05_Library\/Thematic_priorities\/05_Child_Participation\/Eurochild\/I5_Eurochild_Child_Protection_Policy.pdf\">Child Protection Policy<\/a><\/span><\/strong> ensuring all staff, members and partners fully embrace their responsibilities to protect children from harm.\u00a0Eurochild members will, in the future, be expected to demonstrate compliance with Eurochild\u2019s policy or to have in place their own child protection policy respecting national legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Eurochild child participation strategy is going to be piloted via three National European Fora in Malta, Estonia and Bulgaria through which children can get directly involved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1323 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33733078542_a122f24ea3_o-e1493195263884.jpg\" alt=\"Eurochild, MODS; Brisel, Jasmina Mikovi\u0107\" width=\"920\" height=\"613\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33733078542_a122f24ea3_o-e1493195263884.jpg 920w, https:\/\/zadecu.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/33733078542_a122f24ea3_o-e1493195263884-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 920px) 100vw, 920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the General Assembly and Members\u2019 Day, a group of children and young people advised the membership on the provision of child-friendly spaces and making sure that views are gathered from disadvantaged groups.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Eurochild believes that children\u2019s participation is crucial for promotion and protection of children\u2019s rights.
