“The concept of social entrepreneurship and examples of good practice in the Republic of Serbia” was the topic of social dialogue in which Sasa Stefanovic, director of The Network of Organization for Children of Serbia – MODS, participated. The social dialogue as a forum for the exchange of ideas and views was organized by the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs on October 18, 2021.
Social dialogue was presented as a priority in the work of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the aim of this gathering was to jointly contribute to finding good solutions, creating new and innovative opportunities to solve social problems, problems of individuals or groups of citizens, preventing social exclusion cohesion and solving other problems in local communities and society as a whole.
On this occasion, Sasa Stefanovic spoke about the establishment of #DCareLab – Social Innovation Laboratory as a place for ideas that should bring good for children.
“As an example of good practice, I would take a project that is being implemented in 10 countries within the Interreg Transnational Program #DCareLabs, which is developing social protection and social entrepreneurship services. It is a program based on social innovations that should help solve the problems of the most vulnerable citizens. Within this project, a Transnational Social Innovation Laboratory and 9 regional Social Laboratories have been established. The social innovation laboratory has been established in Serbia as a place for ideas that will bring good to children”.
The conference was attended by representatives of the relevant ministries, representatives of relevant state institutions, civil society organizations, business organizations and media.
